Several items to address including new barn pictures

I took a picture of what will hopefully be the last bit of snow we see until winter this year. It arrived Saturday May 1st and melted just as quickly.

This is how much covered the porch.

I also realized that I neglected to take a photo of Amy's pride and joy. This is a raised garden we put in a little over a week ago. She planted cucumbers, cauliflower, lettuce, lots of watermelon and tomatoes on the far end so that we can build a trellis for them to climb. The plastic with cinder blocks is because it still gets chilly at night and the cinder blocks are about the only thing that will keep the wind from ripping it off the garden. The forks are to keep cats from using it as a litter box. Not my idea but I think it works well so far no dig marks.

I'll include the barn pictures at the end here.

As you can see all the additional support beams are now in place along with two rows of insulation and a few planks.

This is the opposite side of that wall covering up the back of the insulation. You can tell it's an old barn because on the far end, the stud supporting the main beam heads off to the right at an angle meaning I could only attach this board to the bottom of it.

And for all you naysayers out there who know I have a house to prep because we are buying it I'll have you know that I do this after I've worked on the house all day and I am dead tired, for me this is fun and I can't wait to see it completed.

(I also have a sold quilt that I have to work on after the barn)
