septic?

We thought we were close to having this whole house buying mess under control and then we find out the septic tank was never certified. In order to have it certified we had to dig down and uncover it.

This is one of two manhole covers on each end.

Not only did we have to do this but it turned out that the outgoing pipe was crushed so we had to bring in a backhoe uncover the length of the pipe, replace it with the right pipe and make sure it has a bed of gravel underneath. Same had to be done with the incoming pipe because the correct pipes were not used.

So what am I doing for fun?

Working in the barn on my tack room project.

I took out one of the panels in the breezeway to make room for a door.

This used to be the front door to the house and it was up in the barn along with all the wood and stuff behind it. It was a hunter green but once it's all painted white I am putting it in place as the tack room door.

And last but not least, aren't they just too cute?
