Canning and dehydrating

I finally got around to canning almost all the apples today.

I didn't take step by step pictures but imagine us using an apple peeler and corer on more apples than I can count then mixing them together in this pot with sugar and spices. It is an apple pie filling.

Here are the jars being sterilized and sealed.

Tomorrow we make applesauce.

Amy made an apple pie all on her own today, surprised all of us.

She made the crust from scratch

then filled it with yummy looking apples

then topped it with a very nice lattice work.

Finished apple pie!

We also picked parsley from the garden today (a lot).

there was too much to fit in a shopping bag

This is the parsley after it has been dried, now I have a supply of parsley for a while.

I also got to try and fix the irrigation today, I got pretty close after putting it together but after it blew apart twice I decided I'd worked on it enough for one day.

and in case you are wondering what the horse pasture looks like here is a recent couple of pictures.
