For Christmas I got a Marlin .22 rifle, I'd been wanting one but didn't think I'd get it for Christmas.
on the 29th of December we had a massive snow storm which turned into a blizzard at the end of the day. I almost couldn't get up to feed the horses next door because the snow was at mid thigh
New years was uneventful and actually I am just glad it's all over. Now I can get back to life.
We have been working on our food storage as of late and finding a lot of great stuff at WINCO.
I have been clearing out the massive amount of snow from last week bit by bit, we can actually get to the back door now.
and last but most interesting one of today's chores was cleaning out the chicken coop. It's been close to a month since I did it last and the only way I got away with waiting that long was that it's the middle of winter. Summer wouldn't work out so well.
This is how you do it:
First get out all the old hay with chicken stuff mixed in. Usually I have a large container I put this in but somebody relocated it so I just put it all in the breezeway.
Third cut the bailing twine
And then put it out for the chickens. They love fresh straw.
