And time goes by

Hard to believe it's been a week since I last posted. We had a great time in Jackson and returned home safely Sunday night. I've been working on some house repairs this week, mainly tearing down the ceiling in the old dining room (which was a bedroom at one time, or so I hear) and found some interesting stuff as in lots of dirt and old insulation. I have it down to the old laths now but unfortunately don't have any pictures because I left my camera in my dear hubby's car.

This is a picture from Wikpedia of some old laths so you have an idea what I am talking about. This is how they used to do walls and ceilings eons ago.

We did find out where the old wood stove had gone up through the ceiling and the roof. I like old stuff so this is kind of treasure hunting for me. I can't wait to get it all fixed and get the room finished.
