It's Monday

I've been sooo lax in posting for the last month or so but finally I have some pictures to post.

You might have to click on the pictures to see them better but I came upon a herd of deer while driving on a back road today and though it doesn't show it I actually got kind of close with my truck.

and finally...... This is the sun coming between two mountain peaks at sundown.

I am still in the process of tearing out the dining room ceiling and what a mess. Four layers consisting of sheet rock, ceiling tiles, plaster and wood laths not to mention all the blown in insulation and years of dirt that somehow work their way up there. I did find a few interesting things though such as part of an old check with the signature of the original owner of this house. an old lassie book and some old school papers.

It is easy to see where the pipe from the old wood stove went up through the ceiling and there are bricks up there that look like an old chimney but that's a mystery and what is an even bigger mystery is what is holding them up? I can just see someone walking under them and BAM!
