I tell you if I had a construction crew at my disposal and the funds I could get a heck of a lot done but since I don't I'll have to be patient and do one thing at a time. Once we officially own this house my first project will be in the barn making a tack room out of one of the old horse stalls.
This is what it looks like now and straight ahead where the last vertical beam on the right is I am putting in a door that leads to the breezeway at the center of the barn so that anyone wanting to get into the tack room won't have to walk all the way around to the side of the barn.
It may seem silly to some but this has always been my dream to have property for horses and the tack room just completes it.

Of course I am also fixing up a room on the other side of the lower part of the barn for Tony's parents to sleep in when they come to visit as well as the bathroom connected to it. (I didn't get pictures.)
In the last few posts I featured a room in the house in which I was tearing out the ceiling. Well I am happy to say I have made a lot of progress. I say "I" although I could not have put the sheetrock on the ceiling by myself so I have to credit Andrew, Nanci and Tony for helping me get those up. But this is what it looks like now.
This ceiling is temporary so that the room can be counted as a finished room when the appraisers come to look at the house. When it gets cold in the fall or maybe next year I will take the ceiling out and run it up to the roof line, thus vaulting it.

What a pretty color of yellow.
That's it for now. Peace out.
