Goooood Morning

You can tell it's fall when you see more grey skies than blue, when it gets cold here in the valley (so cold that growing season is definitely over when just over the mountain my friend is still growing her tomatoes), when the leaves of the trees on the mountain behind us turn a beautiful array of oranges and yellows and when I stop mowing my grass at least once a week. It's been at least a couple of weeks since I mowed my grass.
Harvest is done, canning is (almost) done and the pasture is seeded for next year. Now we get to start having fun.

Halloween will be here before we know it and instead of relying on trick or treating which is almost non existent here. We decided to get together and put on a Halloween carnival, it's going to be so much fun.

Then there is Thanksgiving and Christmas but I won't say much about that because I don't want to get ahead of myself and spoil that.

I also got new couches yesterday, new to us. We had to replace our existing ones but didn't have a great deal of money and we didn't want to go into debt by getting brand new ones (remember what we have been warned about going into debt) so we looked on the ksl classifies (if you live in Utah you know what those are) and found these for about $100 along with an end table for an additional $15. They will do for now until we can get what we really want.

Please forgive the mess, we are still arranging everything but this is what the love seat looks like.

Blondie and his dad decided to help by modeling the couch. And he already found out that if he lays the wrong way he slips down behind the cushion.

That's it now, over and out. I have some serious cleaning an arranging to get to.
